Our fresh food box programs provide individuals facing food insecurity with a healthy variety of fresh produce, including items sourced from local farmers.
We rely on the generous support of volunteers to help us pack boxes in a warehouse which will be delivered to our partner sites in Pickens & Oconee.
The Grab-n-Go Green Market at The Food Innovation Hub has both a retail space that sells local produce, dry goods, and household supplies, as well as a deli counter that has prepared hot and ready-to-cook meals. Volunteers will help restock items, price tag products, and help customers.
Details: Available Wednesdays for 2 hour shifts scheduled 8:00am to 6:00pm at Feed & Seed (701 Easley Bridge Rd, Suite 6010, Greenville, SC 29611).
Number of Volunteers Needed: 1 to 2, per two-hour shift
Get your hands dirty and assist our local growers out on their farms. This may look like harvesting, sowing seeds, turning over fields, or other seasonal needs they have to continue providing us with fresh, high quality produce grown right here in South Carolina.
Every so often, Feed & Seed hosts fun and educational events for the community. Volunteers may help run kids activities, greet customers in our Green Market, share information about Feed & Seed to visitors, etc. The number of volunteers needed will depend on the type of event.
Not Sure How You Want to Serve? We’d still love to hear from you! Contact volunteer@feedandsc.com and we will be happy to discuss your interest in volunteering with Feed & Seed!
