Get Involved: Support Local Farmers and Feed Our Community

Our Fresh Food Box Programs ensure that individuals and families facing food insecurity receive a reliable supply of wholesome, nutrient-rich produce each month. Every box includes a generous assortment of fresh fruits and vegetables, many sourced directly from South Carolina farmers, providing both quality nutrition and vital support for our local agricultural community. These boxes are assembled with care in our warehouse and distributed to partner sites across Pickens, Oconee, and Abbeville Counties, where they reach the neighbors who need them most.

To make this work possible, we depend on the dedication of community volunteers. Volunteers help sort, portion, and pack produce in an efficient, uplifting environment that truly makes a difference. Because our facility operates under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards, all volunteers must follow key safety guidelines to ensure the highest level of quality and food-handling compliance:

  1. No food, drinks, or personal bags are permitted in the warehouse.

  2. Closed-toed shoes are required, and we ask volunteers to avoid shorts, dresses, and loose or dangling jewelry.

  3. Volunteers must wear all provided PPE, including hairnets, gloves, and beard nets (as applicable).

To participate, all volunteers must complete a liability waiver and reserve their shift on POINT, our volunteer registration platform.

Together, we can build a healthier food system, one box, one volunteer shift, and one community at a time.
